I vastly dislike the license plate taglines here in Oz. I mean, really — the American states do it sooooo much better. We reference historical things that happened in our state, not just say that everyone in it is smart. (Although perhaps Queensland means everyone dresses smartly?)
Queensland can’t be referencing their intelligence, that’s for sure, not with a rule like “no protruding limbs from a vehicle” on the books.
