  1. Leelenau Peninsula! One of my favourite places in Michigan! Spent many weeks of many summers on South Manitou Island, and one day, when Ben and I couldn’t get over to the island because of “high seas”, we explored Northport and the ice cream shops around. What a flash from my past. I fly there tomorrow, but I’ll be back within the year, I’m sure! Meanwhile, Lisa, keep the American fires (small, controlled, in a fireplace) burning in the UK. Maybe we can meet up somewhere there next time.
